Cascading Carnations

I created this oil painting on canvas, 24"x24"

Japanese lanterns glow tenderly, magically
out of a nighttime backdrop.
A gentle, enchanting mood is set with
John Singer Sargent’s painting
“Carnation, Lily, Lily, Rose” placed as the
“wallpaper” for this still life of cascading carnations,
brightly lit and nearly glowing themselves,
with waves of glistening ribbons

pouring down ever so gently.
