A woman enjoys a contemplative walk down a trail in the woods on an early fall day. Painted on a gallery wrapped canvas with the image extending around the edges, allowing for frameless hanging. Ships ready to hang.
About the Artist
David Bowker
I grew up in Chicago, Illinois but moved to Michigan in my twenties and have now lived in Michigan much longer than in Illinois and consider Michigan my home.
I find my most consistent inspiration in nature - in the world I walk through every day. I often record images for later use while traveling. Most days, I find intriguing subjects almost everywhere I look. I feel I will never be able to capture everything that I observe and want to express in paint. My work is intended to be representational, but balanced with an expressive element - attempting to demonstrate with each painting how the scene represented in the work made me feel when I observed it. My primary goal with my work is to elicit a visceral reaction with my painting while representing a subject.
I have sold works to collectors in many parts of the US, Europe and Asia.
