My name is Marc vandezande alias Mr Colors, a french artist based in Dijon, France. I began art in April 2016, with my children Jade and Sam chalking on the asphalt in Dijon (France). I gave myself little challenges then bigger with this medium just for fun. I pursued it alone. I saw full opportunities of expression. I was free to create ephemeral frescoes mixing pastels and chalk. I’m a self-taught artist
My nickname? Mr Colors! Quite simply, because I wanted to brighten up people's lives by bringing them colors and poetry on this boring pavement. I’m also mainly practising acrylic and oil painting, pastels and charcoal on canvas. But sometimes i do murals or painting on windows. My universe extends from animation movies (Tim Burton’s movies and others) to renaissance and mythological themes. I’ve got a huge fascination for italian renaissance and the world of sculpture. I mainly paint portraits because i love to capture the essence of someone, the presence, the emotions facing to life.
I am often exposed in Burgundy and soon in other countries..
I participated in festivals in France : Kultur mix (Dijon), USAU street art festival (Vienna, France), St Yrieix la Perche for chalking or painting performances.
