I am originally from Long Beach, California and enjoy sketching with watercolor. My love of sketching was re-awakened while living in Germany for 15 years, so much of my artwork reflects European sights and places where I have traveled.

My name is Pol Ledent.. Thank you for visiting my portfolio. Pol Ledent was born in 1952 in Belgium. He came to painting in 1989. He started with watercolor but felt rapidly that oil painting would match his way of being. He is a self-taught painter . Nevertheless he took some drawing lessons in a Belgian academy. After taking part into numerous group exhibitions , some galleries in Belgium proposed to him to exhibit his works. Dinant, Bouillon, Brussels , Paris and Moscow in October 2006. He has already sent many paintings to various countries USA ( New-York Buffalo Broadway ) , Santa Cruz,San Diego, San Jose,Los Angeles, Florida,Miami Baton-Rouge),Seattle, grand blanc (MI), to France, to China, to Scotland, to Portugual, to Switzerland, to Australia and .......... I was born in Djakovo ,1966, from 1985 live in Zagreb., From arts education finished painting academy "Agora" in Zagreb.Worked with other professional painters on nudes and basic drawing... I'm in the sculptures of wood, ships, especially watercolors and drawings, charcoal pencil .... and so on ... You can see on facebook under my name, but here in the galleries. I'm interested in comics, all artistically and visually ... also in the music, specifically blues, rock, from the time when music was a purpose, rather than a tool ... like everything else .... I try not to change in this sense. ...
I am a retired teacher who is now pursuing my passion for art and astrology. It has been my privilege to travel and see the world where different cultures and people have inspired my creativity.. My art reflects my exploration of many themes and ideas. Using color is my way of provoking feeling into my work. I am blessed to share my life with a wonderful man who was my childhood sweetheart and who shares my love of travel and culture. Many of my paintings come from photographs I took while visiting different countries. Lake Como,Iceland, Lake louise and Israel are just a few of the places I have painted. I also studied fashion illustration and did it professionally for a few years before my children were born. There is a fascination with the human figure and I especially enjoy painting children doing all sort of things. My Astrology background has given me Mythology and Fantasy to toy with in my work and I love seeing an idea come to life on a canvas. Whatever you may think your not just your sun sign, there is much to learn from the oldest science in the world.When it comes to imagination the possibilities are endless. If you are willing to open your mind and heart life can be a fulfilling adventure. My hope is that you relate to my art and it makes you feel as good as it makes me feel while creating it. PS the picture of me was taken in Scotland in Loch Ness...we took a buggy ride led by horses through a magnificent park! There are now many original pieces if you are interested!
