Bio
Phyllis Adair Robinson, a visual artist, barber/beauty, poet and community activist was born in Portsmouth, Virginia and lives in Nashville, Tennessee. Presently, she owns her business PAR Art LLC a multi-medium company and also works as a Master Barber incorporating her art in designer haircuts @AdairsEdge Barber Studio in Nashville and Atlanta, Ga. In her spare time, she spends time mentoring youth and advising them to pursue their dreams. She believes Passion and Purpose are about engaging people within the Arts and Culture community. Phyllis art style and techniques involve various mediums and subject matter. Her favorite figure to paint is women of color in their many moods. Her technique involves mix paints and she loves to incorporate texture by using her fingertips as brushes. Recently, she began to come up with her own individual experimental style of painting called Cosmic and Spiritual Art which allows her to explore art in provoking emotions and thoughts. She launched her PAR Art LLC Art Therapy Workshops for Youth and Elders in Summer 2018. Phyllis sells her art publicly and privately to raise funding for non.profit organizations. She has been apart of several Art Shows and Exhibits in Atlanta, Ga. In 2016 she had her first, solo Art Exhibition at West End Performing Arts Center, in Atlanta, Ga. & Nashville, Tennessee. Phyllis personality best described as a free-spirited artist that does not conform to traditional rules of art.
