The original is 24 x 36 inch oil on canvas and is my rendition of the mass hysteria over the Beatles which began in England in 1963. The location is Buckingham Palace. It is inspired by a black and white photo that I found from the era to which I added my own embellishments by including color and more figures reminiscent of the young girls who cried and swooned over the new musical sensation. These reactions would also be typical for many other pop acts that came before and after the Beatles.
